Introduction. Assisted in the entire production of an integrated biodiesel plant that converted waste vegetable oil into liquid fuel.
Collection, Transportation and Recycling. Collected waste vegetable oil from restaurant and industrial sources, transported 250-gallon totes of biodiesel for direct sale to regional consumers, and recycled the glycerin by-product at a community composting facility.
Biodiesel Process Manufacturing. Sequentially prefiltered, pretreated, and transformed batched of waste oil into biodiesel (transesterification). Evangelista susequently washed, adsorbed, and filtratered batches of biodiesel in post transesterification "polish."
Engineering Design. Evangelista provided cost-effective engineering selection and sizing of pumps that could transport viscous waste vegetable oil contaminated with particulates. Assisted in the installation of filters that removed particulates from the biodiesel.
