Course Description. The 8-hour expert proficiency training is required annually for all designated Air Force personnel working with hazardous waste. The training includes the following thirteen (lucky) elements:
- Introduction to the Resource Conservation and Recovery Act
- Identification of hazardous waste
- Special hazardous waste
- Establishing a waste stream
- Accumulation point management
- Container use and marking
- Waste turn-in procedures
- Manifesting and transporting hazardous waste
- Record keeping and tracking
- Spill prevention and emergency response
- Waste reduction
- Personnel safety and health, Fire safety
- Environmental compliance checklist
